About
About INGONYAMA
INGONYAMA is an independent digital heritage and research initiative. It is not an official Royal House system. A partnership with the Royal House is being requested — it has not been granted.
Status of the relationship with the Royal House
INGONYAMA has not been endorsed, adopted or approved by the Royal House or the Private Office of King Misuzulu kaZwelithini. Any partnership is requested, not assumed. For official information, visit the official Royal House website.
Mission
The information about AmaZulu history already exists, but it is scattered across archives, libraries, databases and families. INGONYAMA is an integration layer: it maps where that material is held, labels how strongly each statement is supported, and helps families research their history — without copying records or claiming authority over them.

Editorial principles
- Every statement carries an evidence level and names who holds the source.
- Documented genealogy, clan tradition and oral tradition are kept separate.
- Statements about the living monarchy are held to a higher standard and re-verified regularly.
- We link to archives; we do not copy collections without permission.
- A missing record is a record gap, never proof that a person did not exist.
- Tradition or family claims are presented as memory, not proof of ancestry.
